Hundreds of revellers wearing little more than plastic bull horns and a red scarves joined the sixth annual Running of the Nudes in Pamplona, Spain on July 5th, a humane and festive alternative to the cruel Running of the Bulls and the bullfights that follow.
PETA Europe and their nearly nude paraders were on the streets of Pamplona to show tourists and residents there is a better way to get a thrill than by inciting a stampede among panicked animals who are later tormented and slaughtered in bullfights. The Running of the Nudes is a win-win-win situation – participants have fun, Pamplona gets tourists and bulls live to see another Spanish sunrise.
